Free online atlas of Canada launched

TORONTO - The Royal Canadian Geographical Society has put the country on the map in an new interactive, web-based atlas.
The atlas is the first such fully bilingual guide to Canada.
Josie guides students through the interactive CGkids Atlas Online.
Grade 9 students from across the country participated in Tuesday's launch using a live web cam and audio-visual link-up.
People can surf to the free resource to access information on Canada's history, culture, people and geography at canadiangeographic.ca/atlas.
The Canadian Atlas Online uses the latest interactive technologies such as animation and graphics to display information.
Users can zoom in, add overlays of information and explore web pages organized by theme to learn more details.
The society and Canadian Geographic magazine launched the site at the NFB Mediatheque in Toronto.
The project was sponsored by the Government of Canada, TD Bank Financial Group and Microsoft Canada.

Actually if you are into a dull good time, there's a website for the monterey bay acquarium where you can see realtime video of the fish tanks. It's really neat.
