So, with my last two days in Japan, I shopped till Dan dropped - what a sport - thanks Dan-boy! I tried Octopus balls - they were OK, but they were also one of the few things I've ever eaten where I felt the portion was too big.
We went to Shibuya and took pictures of the world's busiest pedestrian intersection - it's in Lost in Translation. We went to a store called 109, it's 7 floors of boutiques with Japanese shop assistants who hold Paris Hilton as their personal fashion role model and all have long fake nails, completely encrusted in jewels and bleached blonde hair. Normally, I have a rule about stores such as these, if you are in a store and the music is too loud for you, you are too old to shop there. Well, I was way too old to be shopping in these places, but I did it anyway, and I got some great stuff.
By the way, here's the fashion report for Japan: Layers are in, shiny, sequined things are in, Paris Hilton is in, t-shirts with illiterate English writing on them are still in -Reggae Hairstyle Rock and Roll! Guys with afros are in, guys in really gay looking business suits are in - but they aren't gay.
Anyway, I had an awesome time in Japan, and now it's over and I'm sad. But I'm also excited to go home to my apartment which I left thinking it was tiny, but I think it'll seem much roomier when I get back. See you at the airport, Aaron.
And I'll try to get my pictures developed and put some of them on the blog, shortly, if I can figure out how to do it.
