I hate Canada Post
ARRRRGH! So I finally got around to going to the post office to do my change of address from my move last month. I couldn't do it on the internet, which was very frustrating, but I had time to get it done because our old apartment wasn't occupied after we moved out of it. So the guy at the post office asks me if there's another person moving too. I say yes, not realising that it's a trap. He says I need a letter from the other person to authorise me to change their address for them. I said, "OK never mind I'll just change mine, my boyfriend's mail is his own problem then." So the guy says no Canada post can be sued, whether I include him or not I need his permission to change even my own address. I was so pissed off. This is the kind of bullshit I can't stand. I'm changing my own address with Canada post if it kills me! I know they are concerned about liability, but what about when I sue them because they didn't let me chnage my address and some fraud artist moves into my new place and signs me up for credit cards and spends all my money?

this guy was full of shit! you don't need permission from your room-mate to change your address! just go to another outlet, where the person working isn't a total idiot.
my favourite canada post moment of late was being in labrador city, having my contact in st john's not be able to help, trying to call montreal and getting ottawa, who transfers me to new brunswick, who then gives me the number for montreal (but can't transfer), and then montreal gives me the name of the person in ottawa I need to talk to.
