He shoots, he scores!

As some of you know, I won a pair of Leafs tickets at the bar the other night. Unfortunately, I can't go because of a prior commitment, and I'm now happily unemployed (read penniless), so, I'll be giving the tickets to the highest bidder. The tickets are for November 19th, Maple Leafs vs. Atlanta Thrashers. The face price is 82$, they are for section 303, row 3, seats 3 and 4.
If you know any Leafs fans, who would like the tickets, just send me an email, call me, or comment in the comment section that you are interested and I'll email you back.

And yes, PX, TT, Paul, I know you guys probably can't make it to the game either. Or in PX's case, just have no idea what I'm talking about.

Jenny, I cant believe you even put that out here...Joe is going to FLIP out!!! And you know you're going to give them to Ash anyway....How could you not, Joe would DIE for those tickets. He's such a kid that way.

PX, you're such a sweetie to suggest that I'd be able to explain hockey to you. I'm certainly no expert compared to the guys you see standing around at bars having these huge arguements about the changes in rules they've made since the strike, or who is really ruining the game. But I thought I'd learn to talk about various sports a few years ago, so I bought a book, Talk Sports Like A Pro: 99 Secrets To Becoming A Sports Goddess I'd read the chapter on each sport when the season started and then seek out someone who was into the sport and get them to talk about it and fill in the blanks. It's amazing how quickly you can pick up the relevant points. I went to a bar one night when a hockey game was on and struck up a conversation with I guy I barely knew about hockey, and by the end of the evening he was conviced that I was some kind of world leading hockey expert. Which of course I am not. At the moment I am learning all about American football, which it turns out is a much more interesting game than most people realize - but it's still not as good as Canadian Football, which is has a bigger field and requires more endurance and strength (or so I"m told).

Well, Joe better get his act together and put in an offer then! Hee hee! I haven't heard from him yet. I haven't actually gotten an offer from anyone yet, so if someone emails me and says they'll give me five dollars for the pair and no one else does, they'll be gettin' them tickets.

proper football is better
maybe if you come over here one day with PP and whoever else wants to come i'll take you to a proper footie match

So I've had my first offer 100$ for the pair.

PX, I'd love to go to a "proper" football game with you! I don't usually follow soccer, mostly because the people in this city who do are absolutely the most insufferable anglophile ponces (that means you too Christopher!), but when the world cup rolls around I get all into it.

Hey Jennifer,

I see your offer of $100 and raise it to $125 (if I'm not too late).

I'll also send an email...

Well DH, I'm very glad to see you commenting, who knew the Leafs would bring you out of the word work! Your bid is noted, and I just had a phone in bid of face value for the pair ($164). So that's the going price at the moment. I'm going to let this continue until Sunday night, just so there will be plenty of time to deliver the tickets. So if you all want to dump out your penny jars and try to beat $164, let me know.

OK kids, going once, going twice, sold to Aaron's work friend for face value.
Thanks for participating I'll let you all know if I ever have spare tickets again.
