This afternoon my agency called me to ask me if I wanted to work a long term assignment for them starting Monday. Normally I'd jump at that kind of opportunity, but when my contact at the agency started describing the position, it made my skin crawl. I had to say no. I feel like a jerk for turning down a good job, but I think I'd rather starve than get back in the saddle at the moment. Usually I don't enjoy being off work at all, I get bored, stop having an excuse not to clean my place, or catch up on my readings. Too bad you can't take stress leave when you don't actually have a job.
