Is 19 younger than it used to be?

Ash, Dawn and I went out for a drink last night at my local bar. Usually I'm one of the younger folks in this joint. So we walk in there last night and they are carding at the door, giving out wristbands and everyone in the joint looks like they are 16 or 17. Turns out they were having a student party. I don't think I looked that young when I was in my first year of university. Granted they've changed things since I was in school and now you go to university a year younger than you used to, but geez these kids looked young.
My second musing on the subject is that I don't know why in the world girls in that age group are considered sexy, all they are is %&!?$ obnoxious!
